Preparing for Your Visit:

• The Cats-in-Residence Program is an interactive art installation featuring live cats! All of the resident cats are rescue animals, available for adoption through the Worcester Animal Rescue League.
• Admission to the Cats-in-Residence Program is free; however, a timed ticket for a 30-minute visiting period is required to enter the CatAviary.* Timed tickets are available on a first come-first served basis at the Lancaster Welcome Center. Tickets can only be obtained at the Museum on the day of your visit; tickets cannot be reserved in advance.
• Tickets are good for one designated 30-minute visiting period, (for example, 11 to 11:30am).
• A limited number of guests will be allowed into the CatAviary enclosure at one time; please be patient and watch the kitties through the netting while you wait.
• Plan to arrive at Studio 206 in the Higgins Education Wing a few minutes early, so you can enter Studio 206 at your designated time — and thus enjoy your full 30 minutes in the Cats-in-Residence Program space.
• To give the kitties a rest, the Cats-in-Residence Program will be closed for a Cat Nap from 1-1:30pm every day.
• Please note that Studio 206 is equipped with a video camera, providing live stream internet viewing of the exhibition, including the CatAviary. Please be aware that you will be filmed when inside the room. You can keep an eye on the cats 24 hours a day at: /exhibitions/meow/cam/

* (Please note: from July 13 — 30 and Sept. 1-4 paid admission is required to enter the Museum galleries; admission to the Museum is free during the month of August)

CatAviary Rules:
To ensure the safety and comfort of our resident cats, we ask that you observe these rules when inside the CatAviary:

• Bags, food, and drinks are not allowed inside the CatAviary enclosure.
• Please remember that the CatAviary is a work of art! We ask that you do not play with the netting wall. Also please do not step, climb, or sit on the cushions, perches, and other exhibition components. They are built for cat — not human — use!
• Inside the CatAviary, you are welcome to sit on the bench and the floor; a bench and tables with chairs are available for seating outside the enclosure.
• Service/Support animals are allowed in Studio 206, but NOT in the CatAviary enclosure.

Photography:
We encourage you to take photographs in the Cats-in-Residence Program! Due to space limitations, tripods are not allowed. When sharing your photos on social media, please use #catsinresidence, #meow, #wamcats.

Accessibility:
The Cats-in-Residence Program is fully accessible. Staff is available to assist with entering the Cat Aviary.

Groups:
Groups are welcome, but must pre-arrange their visit by calling Kayla Peterson, tour coordinator, at 508-793-4338. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate groups in the Cats-in-Residence Program.
