July 1, 1998 - December 31, 1998
Come and see the enormous yet ephemeral contemporary art project in the Museum's Renaissance Courtyard. In July, Venezuelan-born, New York-based artist Arturo Herrara created this monumental wall drawing specifically for the Museum, and dramatically transformed the century-old courtyard where ancient tapestries once adorned the walls. This wall drawing is a temporary installation and will be painted over in December to make a clean slate for the next wall project, which will be created by Swedish artist Sophie Tottie.
